And we’re finally open!!
Lest you start to think that we’ve abandoned you all or succumbed to laziness due to our recent lack of postage…let me reassure you that we have not forgotten our loyal blog followers!! We’ve merely been trapped under heavy piles of lumber behind buckets of paint.. But we’re finally free again!!! So we invite you to view our journey from upstairs at the Factory at Franklin to our shiny, new location just off the commons area- DOWNSTAIRS (yes, still at the Factory)!!
So, just in case you for some unknown reason were unable to visit us previously, this is what the shop used to look like..
Adornments to host trunk show for fashion designer Olia Zavozina!
Come see Olia’s new line of summer and bridal wear in the gorgeous Adornments gallery Upstairs at the Factory at Franklin! Cocktails and refreshments will be served and there will be two drawings for fabulous prizes from both Olia Zavozina and the jewelers at Adornments! Come mingle, see what’s hot in fashion and jewelry this season, and take home a fabulous new addition to your wardrobe at exclusive Trunk Show prices!
See you there!
Adornments is moving… downstairs!
That’s right- Adornments gallery is moving downstairs in the Factory at Franklin in August- so we should be that much more easy to find! We will be just off the common area next to Constant Craving (yes, we will now smell tasty food all day long… ahhh so good…)!
Look out for updates as we track the process of designing and decorating our new space!
NCS Renaissance Fair!
A while back we were invited to participate in a Ren. Fair at the Nashville Christian School, held in conjunction with their school play, “Much Ado About Nothing.” This is the first year that the school put together such a to-do, and it sounds like it’s likely to become a yearly event. We were eager to join- mostly because we heard there would be turkey legs!!
And there were..
Take a look at our amazing sign! 🙂 That’s right, we’re wearing costumes! Well…pseudo-costumes (they had wrist watches back then, right?)…
We were asked to have a semi-working booth so that it would be somewhat educational as well. So Lucinda brought her loom and demonstrated weaving (of course…Laura and I were the mules for this venture…)
While Laura was hard at work on some new jewelry!
Of course, the biggest problem of the day was the weather… It was rather windy which caused all of our pretties to keep being blown over. So I spent my time (when not eating funnel cakes and roasted corn!) putting every thing back upright.
At least, until the rain called an end to the day. In all though, many funnel cakes were had and oohs and aahs abounded! Thanks to NCS for having us!!
And a good time was had by all!

The Artists at Adornments
New! We’ve added more artists to the Adornments website- they are all amazing local (and semi-local) artists who create beautiful one-of-a-kind works of art! We have artists who work in all of the following categories: Jewelry, Bead-work, Weaving, Painting, Drawing, Pottery, Wood Turning, and we will soon be welcoming a metal sculptor (we’ll let you know when his work arrives)!
Check them out at our website (click here) or come on in to the store and we’ll tell you all about them!
